COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC
With the holding of general elections this year and the investiture of the President of the Republic and the Vice President of the Republic, as well as the inauguration of the Deputies to the National Assembly, there is an urgent need to adapt the organization and functioning of the Council of the Republic;
Bearing in mind that the Constitution of the Republic of Angola establishes the Council of the Republic as a collegiate consultative body of the Head of State;
The President of the Republic decrees that, by virtue of their functions, the following entities are part of the Council of the Republic: -Esperança Maria Eduardo Francisco da Costa –Vice President of the Republic;
Carolina Cerqueira – President of the National Assembly;
Hélder Fernando Pitta Gróz – Attorney General of the Republic;
Luísa Pedro Francisco Damião – Vice-President of the MPLA;
Adalberto Costa Júnior – President of the UNITA party;
Nimi a Simbi – President of the FNLA party;
Benedito Daniel – President of the PRS party;
Florbela Catarina Malaquias – President of the PHA Party.
To also integrate the Council of the Republic, President João Lourenço appointed the following citizens:
